In a stirring display of unity and strength, hundreds of Taylor Swift fans gathered in the streets of Vienna to sing her songs and console each other. The Swifties demonstration of togetherness follows the cancellations of all three The Eras Tour shows that were set to take place in the city this weekend. Videos have circulated on social media featuring the crowds singing “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived,” “All Too Well,” “Cruel Summer,” and “Long Live,” with many of the clips using the hashtag “#WeLoveYouTaylor.”

While those singalongs were taking place, more details emerged about the terror plot associated with those Vienna shows. The chief suspect is a 19-year-old Austrian citizen who has now fully confessed to attack plans during an interrogation. In a news conference, Omar Haijawi-Pirchner, the head of Austria’s Directorate of State Security and Intelligence, said the suspect was “clearly radicalized in the direction of the Islamic State” and fully intended to kill himself and “as many people as possible” outside the concert venue using knives and homemade explosives.
