The National Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame has just revealed their list of inductees for 2024. This year’s class of R&B Hall of Famers are Jeffrey Osborne, Kenny Lattimore, Candi Staton, Ginuwine, Regina Belle, Buddy Miles, William Bell, Terry Stewart, Rose Marie McCoy, Ken Hawkins, and the Boddie Recording Company. Five of the 10 inductees have previously topped Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Belle accomplished the feat twice, with “Baby Come to Me” (1989) and “Make It Like It Was” (1990), while she also reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1993 with her collaboration with Peabo Bryson, “A Whole New World (Aladdin’s Theme).” Ginuwine also topped the charts twice, with both “Pony” (1996) and “Differences” (2001). Staton topped the chart with “Young Hearts Run Free” (1976), while Bell reached No. 1 with “Tryin’ to Love Two” (1977), and Osborne got to No. 1 with “She’s on the Left” (1988). The 13th annual National Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is set to take place at the Marriott Cleveland East in Warrensville Heights, Ohio, on October 6. (Billboard)
