To commemorate “Tik Tok” reaching the 1 billion Spotify streams milestone, Kesha shared a  video of her brushing her teeth with Jack Daniels. The clip was fittingly posted to TikTok, showing Kesha unveiling her Spotify plaque, which comes with a silver dish shaped like Spotify’s logo. She pulls out a bottle of Jack Daniels, pours some out into the dish, and swirls her toothbrush in the whiskey before brushing her teeth with it. The gesture is a reference to the fan favorite lyrics of Kesha’s debut single, “Before I leave, brush my teeth with a bottle of Jack/ ‘Cause when I leave for the night, I ain’t comin’ back.”

Speaking of the lyrics of “Tik Tok,” Kesha has also promised to re-record her hit track to profanely alter the reference to P. Diddy after sexual assault allegations surfaced against the disgraced music mogul. In a post on X celebrating the 15th anniversary of the release of “Tik Tok,” Kesha wrote, “The world has changed so much and so have I. I absolutely love the new lyric change. (Shout out to @reneerapp) Yes it is permanent. I will re-record it when I have legal rights to!” (Billboard)
